Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser image of a new two-door Maybach coupe on its social media channels and labelled it “Hot & Cool - Almost 6 meters of ultimate luxury.” It is being expected that the German luxury auto giant will globally showcase this super hot sports car concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on 21 August this year.
The silhouette image appears to be a two seater luxury coupe and will be the second body language from the Mercedes-Maybach division. Some reports suggest that Mercedes seems quite interested in producing cars like Rolls Royce and Bentley.
The Maybach badge on the C-pillar and three-pointed star on the edge of the bonnet indicate that it could be a current generation Exelero - a 700 hp one-off design, four seater rocket ship. From the long front-end, carrying a monstrous V12 engine under the beneath, to the aggressive windshield rake and the long tail, are perfectly shaped to boost it up to the top speed of 320 kmph plus.
Maybach was acquired in 1960 by the Daimler-Benz, a luxury car brand of Mercedes-Benz and currently working on the ultra luxury edition of the Mercedes-Benz S-class.
Back the teaser image, Whatever will be this new Maybach, but undoubtedly it is going to be huge. The 6-meter two-door coupe is 1.5 meters longer than the recent launched AMG GT and 80 cm longer than the S-Class. It is expected that it will be powered by the same V12 engine that uses in S600 but in a higher state of tune to match the performance with its sportier look. The silhouette image seems to be a concept form with the possible launch of production version sometime in 2017.
