One of the most renowned segment, Mercedes-Benz S-Class sits at the heart of the luxurious car market of India. To keep possessions, the company is all set to launch a new engine variant, S400 in the country by the end of this month that will be positioned between the range of entry-level S350 CDI and the S500. Currently, the former is available at the price tag of INR 1.14 Crores and the latter is tagged with INR 1.44 Crores (both Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
With all the signature S-Class features, the new S400 comes with a 3.0-litre, v6, twin turbocharged, direct injection petrol motor, which is good for 329 Bhp of power and 480 Nm of torque. As a transmission option, the engine could be mated with either 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic or a 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic unit.
Having packed with all these technical specs, the motor is likely to send power at rear wheels only. Like its other siblings, it could be offered with standard air suspension on the all four wheels. Some signature features are listed as LED intelligent headlights, automotive climate control, active parking assists and collision prevention assist plus for this new upcoming model.
It looks like the company is planning to grab lots of eyeballs that can be seen with its recent launches. It's just a week ago when the brand had also released its most safest car in the world, Maybach S600 Guard in the Indian car market and now the another sibling car will definitely hit the market shares of another luxury automakers like Audi, Jaguar, BMW etc in the country.
