The luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz launched the sports edition of A-Class, CLA and GLA yesterday in India to toast the UEFA EURO championship 2016. These sports editions are priced between INR 25.95 Lakh and INR 35.26 Lakh. The German auto-maker has limited this sports edition production by 54 units of A-Class and 108 units of GLA and CLA each, and available in the market only for a limited time period until July 10; 2016.
The limited production of the Mercedes-Benz sports edition cars includes only cosmetic updates with a badge of Mercedes-Benz sport edition, carbon fiber mirror cover, black hub caps and a stainless steel sport pedal, while mechanically the cars remain unchanged.
The Mercedes-Benz sports edition of A-Class features a diamond radiator grill in black and a apron spoiler lip at the front. At the rear, the new A-Class gets few modification to appear more sportier. On the roof, the car gets body coloured spoiler to increase downforce. Under the hood, the A-Class sports edition has remain unchanged.
On the other hand, the sports edition of the GLA and the CLA get a modified rear-end design to along with the graceful interior. The CLA sports edition also gets a tweaked a rear wing which gives it sporty appeal.
The managing director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, Roland Folger said, “The new sport edition of the A-Class, GLA and CLA celebrates the spirit of the UEFA EURO 2016 in India. This is a celebration of our new generation cars which epitomises sportiness, dynamism and agility not only on but also off the field.”
