Mercedes Benz has finally unveiled its second C43 Coupe which lies under the AMG series Coupe in India. During the launch, Mercedes-AMG Chairman Tobias Moers said, “The extension of the C-class family to include the C43 4Matic Coupe is another component in our growth strategy. It starts the introduction of a whole series of new 43 models.” The C43 Coupe is undoubtedly fast and takes just 4.7 seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h. The automaker has also limited its top speed to 250 km/h.
The Mercedes-AMG C43 C-Class Coupe comes powered by a 3.0-litre twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 362 bhp. The engine is paired to a 9-speed gearbox. The same power mill gives life to the C 450 AMG and the GLE 450 AMG models. The new gearbox has also been modified for 4Matic 39:61 split all-wheel-drive system, making it more convenient while gear shifting. The C43 Coupe offers three driving modes, namely, Sport, Comfort and Sport Plus.
On the exterior counterpart, the AMG C43 gets new profiled bumpers, alloy wheels and spectacular grill inserts. Inside, it gets amazing graphics package along with premium upholstery on the seats, and instrument panel. The flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel also comes equipped with value added features. Brakes have been upgraded to 360mm front disc and 320mm rear disc.
