Other updates in John Cooper Works (JCW) include valve exhaust system with sport and track mode, carbon fibre tailpipe, Bluetooth exhaust control, an aerodynamic body kit, matte black sport and side racing stripes and decals with red piping, JCW sports seats and black 17-inch cosmos spoke alloys. One can also see JCW badge embossed on the door sills and the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Under the small hood, the Mini Cooper S Carbon edition features the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that does duty on the standard version of Cooper S, but the outputs have been tweaked. The power mill is updated to produce 210 hp of the maximum power in combination with the peak torque of 300 Nm against the old figures of maximum power and maximum torque of 192 hp and 280 Nm respectively. The engine is further mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and Launch Control.

According to the Mini, this new version can sprint from 0-100kph in 6.5 seconds. Top speed has also been beefed up by 20kph to 300kph. And this makes the Cooper S Carbon Edition the fastest, most powerful and most expensive Mini which is currently on sale in the India.
On the safety front, Carbon edition features front and rear passenger airbags, brake assist, 3-point seat belts, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, anti-lock braking system, cornering brake control and run-flat indicator.
