It's been quite a while that we're living amidst the soon to be done launch of BMW's small car segment known as Mini in India. Recently, the company kicked off the marketing campaign for popularizing the cars ahead of the beginning of sales in the country. Now, the time has come as the Mini has announced that the brand will take off on November 19 officially. As the India is becoming a hub of all types of luxury cars, BMW though this as the right time to launch it Mini cars and if we believe the early reports, then Mini will be a hit for sure. The company will launch both new 3-Door and 5-Door models with the current 3-Door model being replaced by the facelifted version debuted at the recently concluded Paris Motor Show 2014.
However, the car will keep its retro look with a bit bigger dimensions and the hatchback will be 98 mm longer, 44 mm wider and 7 mm taller. On the other hand, the 5-Door version will be around 160 mm longer and 11 mm taller than the current generation Mini cars. In India, Mini Cooper S and Copper D will be available for sale.
Talking about the engines, the 3-Door Cooper version will get the 3-Cylinder 1.5 Litre petrol engine producing 138 PS power and 220 Nm of torque. And, the Copper S will also get a 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder engine producing 192 PS power and 280 Nm of torque. There would also be a diesel variant for the 5-Door version with 1.5 Litre 3-Cylinder producing 118 PS power.
