The oldest European manufacturer Moto Guzzi had a prominent name in the world racing and for providing vital industry innovations to give a new way to the motoring world. Earlier in 2004, it has been owned by the Piaggio & C., fourth largest motorcycle producer in the world on the sales basis. A few days ago, Piaggio sealed the launch of its new cruisers- Moto Guzzi Roamer and the Bobber in India.
Now the motoring website- Bikewale claimed that V9 Roamer and the Bobber will share the same price tag of Rs. 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). These cruisers will make its availability at the auto-giant's Motoplex showroom as a completely-built-unit (CBU).
Aesthetically, both the bikes received superb featuring to facilitate the owner from the blend of classic styling and the modern technologies. The included modern features are anti-theft immobilizer, two-level traction control which has on/off accessibility, USB port for charging. The optional Multimedia Platform (MG MP) can easily be connected easily to a smartphone and gives info-rich vehicle data for the rider. Altogether the MG MP has various other features like eco ride, which facilitate the rider to check or access the fuel consumption data.
Mechanically, both the V9 Roamer and the Bobber boast the same Moto Guzzi’s new 850cc torque motor. The motor is capable to produce the power of 55 bhp at 6250 rpm and torque of 62 Nm at 3000 rpm. The generated power transfers to the rear wheel through a six speed gearbox which is connected to a shaft drive.
Once launched, both the cruisers will lock the horn with the Harley Davidson Fat Bob and the Indian Scout. The anticipation is bike may come to the Indian shore in the next couple of days. The bookings for these bikes have been commenced so earlier at the token price of Rs 5 lakh.
