MV Agusta to Cut Down Prices, Will Start CKD Operations Soon

The Italian motorcycle marque, MV Agusta, has made it’s official entrance to the Indian motoring market with the supportive hands of Kinetic Group, on an exclusive distribution agreement. MV Agusta has launched three new motorcycles which includes the F3 800, F4 and the Brutale 1090. These are the few of the most expensive bikes in India, which contains the price tag between INR 16.78 lakh to INR 50.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

Mr. Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director, MV Agusta India shared its plans at the launch event, "We will be marketing these superbikes through our exclusive 'Motoroyale' showrooms. It is a new chain of superbike showrooms, which will make some of the best bikes in the world accessible to motorcycle enthusiasts in India." and by sharing its incapability on to the price corner, he added, "We want to go from CBU and SKD operations to CKD operations, we cannot do without it".

The Indian enthusiasts received the Italian giant in full swing and showed their positive attitude and eagerness to opt the bike. The brand allotted the total of 300 vehicles for this year and It would be easily managed by the Kinetic Group to sold out 300 vehicles as the considered 50 percent of the assigned 300 motorcycles will be the F3 800. And the expected cut down in the price of these motorcycles will also help the brand thereafter the CKD operations initiated.

Speculations around the corner are the company will use the same Ahmednagar plant, assembly line, which has been used for MV Agusta F3 800 SKD units assembling, once the CKD operations initiated. The MV had made an investment of over 5 crore till now and inaugurated its maiden showroom in Pune. The company is seeking 10 percent market share in the superbike models over 10 lakh amount in India with in the duration of three years. For the growth of the brand five more showrooms will be spreaded across the country in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chennai.
