The Austrian manufacturer, KTM has revealed a host of mechanical upgradations on the popular Tourers MY16 KTM RC and Duke. It incorporates revamped ECU dampers, NOK sealed front forks and reassembled front and rear wheels. News for the export models is also there that they will be having Motorex Stickers and wiring harness. Though, nothing has been announced about this on the Indian models.
The motorcycles now built on a hybrid frame with M6 tapping. As compared to the earlier models, the black color on Duke and the white color on RC also changed a bit now. Although, we have seen forged levers on the step holder assembly on some models of last year, but they are still on a roll on the updated versions.
On the hardware part, the 2016 KTM Duke 200 is equipped with 300mm disc brakes at the front carrying an enhanced thickness this time. Additionally, the bike now sports an all-new accessory of pillion seat plus brake reservoir bracket and the headlight control switch is now skipped, which was there on the right hand side. Apart from this, there are new MRF design tyres on the all new Duke 200.
Other perceptible changes include the modified rearview mirrors, though they are changed in a limited length. The 2016 KTM Duke 390 have been launched confidentially in the country with a slipper clutch, diverting radiator fans, plastic flaps and rubber mountings. Nevertheless, to meet the Euro VI emission norms, it omitted the aluminium exhaust pipe, which is there on the European bikes.
