The Geneva Motor Show 2015 will be starting from 5th March to demonstrate various upcoming cars and the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is the one among all, which has recently been revealed before making an appearance at this event. It will be the latest modification of the 2 Series Active Tourer that would arrive with front wheel drive system. Dimension wise, the upcoming runabout will be 214 mm longer as well as 20 mm taller than the Active Tourer while getting a length of 4556 mm, width of 1800 mm and height of 1608 mm.
Spilling the beans about more differences, this most awaited MPV would have the boot space of 645 litres, which can be increased by 1905 litres with rear seats folded down. On the other hand, its predecessor comprises 465 litres of luggage compartment, which can be maximized only by 1510 litres. Notably, the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is likely to become the world's first compact MPV model that will include more than seven seats inside the cabin, while fittings and dashboard will be same as its outgoing version.
Under the hood, this luxurious model would reckon both fuel mill options for petrol and diesel alongside two transmission variants including 6-speed manual as well as 8-speed automatic. The manufacturer will offer four distinct models for this vehicle and the M Sport trim will be the one among all comprising M Aerodynamics package, individual high gloss shadow line, M Sport seats and M leather steering wheel.
