Recently, a new teaser of all-new Puma SUV has been released by the American carmaker ahead of its global reveal during the summer in 2019. To brief you a bit more, the new Puma SUV is based on the Fiesta-hatchback. The origins of Puma SUV can be traced back to 1997 where the company has produced a two-door coupe called Ford Puma. Back then, the Ford Puma also shared its underpinnings with the Fiesta.
Now, if we talk about the new Puma SUV, it is expected to be placed easily between the Ford Ecosport and the recently unveiled Kuga, which is a part of the company’s international car lineup. Seeing the teaser, we can easily argue that the new Puma SUV will be more style-oriented, sportier than the Ford Ecosport, and will also feature design cues that make it more look like the latest Ford Fiesta rather than a butch style boxy SUV.

Inside the hood of the car, we expect similar features like Fiesta with Ford inspired dashboard-mounted touch infotainment system. The new Puma SUV will also house a bigger 456-litre boot while comparing it with the Ford Ecosport. An SUV-like high seating position is also expected to be maintained by Ford in this new SUV to keep it close to being driver oriented. Ford’s European boss, Stuart Rowley was found saying that the new Puma SUV will “really resonate with compact car customers in Europe” through “progressive and evocative styling.”

If we talk about power and performance, then the new SUV will sport a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with an option of 48V belt-driven starter motor generator. The powermill in the car can generate 155hp of power. Well, Ford has not revealed further details about the car, but we expect Puma to be built at the company\'s Craiova plant in Romania.
