Harley-Davidson has unveiled a new Roadster, the latest model will join the firm’s Dark Custom lineup. The new Roadster model with a more minimalist design inspired by classic racing motorcycles. The naked custom and stripped down Harley Davidson roadster will inspire the next generation of riders. The new Roadster is available in four captivating colors scheme-Vivid Black, Velocity Red Sunglo, Black Denim and Billet Silver/Vivid Black. And the price started from £9695 (Rs 9.20 lakh) in the United Kingdom.

Visually, it gets a chopped rear fender which is shorter than the previous bobbed Sportster fender, lowered handlebars, a new well cushioned spilt cum stepped seat, mid-mount controls, slotted belt guard and muffler shields. Moreover, a modern single four-inch diameter instrument cluster is also there to produce ride required information.
As a beating heart, Harley-Davidson Roadster kept a 1200cc, air-cooled evolution, V-Twin power engine that is tuned to belt out the peak torque of 103 Nm at 3,750rpm. The new sets of 19 Inch front and 18-inch rear offset-split five-spoke cast aluminum wheels are incorporated well with the 43mm inverted front forks and premium rear suspension. For braking, 300mm dual floating discs with twin-piston calipers at the front wheel and a 260mm rear disc with a twin-piston caliper are in mechanism with ABS.
Mr. Brad Richards, Director of Styling, Harley-Davidson said,“Since its introduction in 1957, the Harley-Davidson Sportster has proved capable of constant reinvention, and the Roadster writes a new chapter in that story.” And,“We’ve watched our customers take the Sportster in so many different directions. The Roadster is a mash-up of styling genres, but the intent was to build a rider’s motorcycle, a Sportster that’s lean and powerful and connects the rider to the road.”
There is no information when this new Harley Davidson Roadster will make its debut in the Indian market. While, possibly it may enter the US market by June 2016.
