Nowadays, the next generation Honda Jazz is at the highest peak of discussion regarding its gearbox, which is most likely to be borrowed from the Honda City, a 5-speed automatic CVT gearbox. While it is still under doubts for engine that the new model will be machined with a 1.5 litre i-VTEC or 1.2 litre i-VTEC units, there are very high chances that it will receive paddle shifters. Its regular versions will be available in two engine options, such as a 1.2 litre VTEC petrol and a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel to churn out the outputs of 87 bhp, 109 Nm and 99 bhp, 200 Nm, respectively.
The former as well as the latter will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission in order to supply the produced power to the wheels of this vehicle. Design wise, the latest Jazz will be spruced by a new chrome grille, fog lights, a rear wiper/washer, roof spoiler including stop light and chrome finished registration plate enclosure. However, the side profile of this hatchback model comprises new 5x2 spoke alloy wheels, body colored door handles and electrically adjustable ORVM with turn indicator.
Inside, Honda will offer leather dressed steering wheel, gear lever, City motivated dashboard with Bluetooth supported infotainment system, automatic climate touch controls, multimedia navigation system, keyless entry and steering mounted controls. Just like the City sedan, the upcoming Jazz will be acquainted in four versions, E, S, V and VX.
Conjectured to be priced between INR 5.5 Lac to INR 8 Lac, the runabout will create obstruction to throw down the selling graph of the Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Elite i20.
