In order to fill the gap of the Creta and the Santa Fe, Hyundai finally sets its mind and likely to bring its Tucson SUV in India by the end of September or by early October this year. The new generation of the model was earlier brought before the crowd at the 2016 Auto Expo and gathered a lot of eyeballs for its most aggressive and bold design.
As far as the design cues are concerned, it’s pretty much similar to the one’s we have seen on company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. It includes an impressive hexagonal grille, sloping rooflines, swept back headlamps, a sporty bumper, LED tail lights, etc. Dimensionally, it measures 4475 mm in length, 1645 mm in height, 1850 mm in width and a large wheelbase of 2670 mm.

Inside the cabin, the Tucson is expected to be furnished with most comfort as well as advanced technical features. Apart from the leather upholstery and spacious cabin, it will also come along with an instrument panel, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with AUX, Bluetooth, USB support, dual-zone automatic climate control, audio system with 8 speakers and much more.

On the safety front, we can anticipate following features- blind spot assist system, tyre pressure monitoring system, autonomous emergency braking system, electronic parking brake, lane keeping assist, etc.

Nothing has been officially stated by the company on the engine part, however, it is believed that the India bound Hyundai Tucson will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, generates two states of tune about 134 Bhp and 181 Bhp. In addition, the motor will be mated with a 6-speed manual as well as an automatic transmission unit. Furthermore, the vehicle will make you run near INR 20 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) for all these attachments and will lock the horns with its rivals such as Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra XUV 500, Ford Endeavour, and Chevrolet Trailblazer.
