Recently, Renault has made a confirmation that it's aiming to build a latest seven seater SUV, which would introduce in the automobile market within a couple of years with the replacement of existing Koleos. Based on the Renault-Nissan's CMF platform, this vehicle will be positioned between the Kadjar and the Espace. The most noticeable point is that it will introduce as a road friendly vehicle and would have the capability to be driven on the rough road.
The design boss of the company, Laurens van den Acker said, “It's much more than just a big Kadjar - the proportions are slightly different, the positioning is more high end. We are going for a different type customer. It will sit just underneath the Espace, which for me remains the flagship of the brand. Not many markets will take the D-crossover and the Espace. The D-crossover is mainly for Asia, where it will replace the Koleos, and there is no Espace in Asia. It will be sportier, it will be younger than the Espace.”
Yet, the manufacturer has not given any information regarding its name and it's still a secret that this upcoming car will be continued with the same name or not. However, there are speculations that the runabout would get starting letter of either 'C' or 'K'. On the other hand, more details about this vehicle will be revealed, whenever Renault will start building it.
