The British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph has teased an image of a brand new Speedmaster- a ‘factory custom’ cruiser on its twitter handle along with a brief video. The teaser reveals the bike is going to launch on 3rd October. Expected to be based on the Triumph Bonneville T120, the model will launch globally. The motorcycle will also be available for sale in India. At the same time, the company will start a new visitor centre at its headquarter in Hinckley, UK.
The Speedmaster and the American are two models which belongs to similar segment. These are available in the global markets, but the Indian market did not find its availability here. From a long while, both the models are due for updates and expectation suggests, the company could replace both the America and the Speedmaster models from an all-new Triumph Speedmaster ready to hit the deck on 3rd of coming month.
Currently both the models are powered by the 865cc air-cooled engines, but the forthcoming Speedmaster is likely to be powered by 1200 cc parallel-twin engine shared from the Bonneville Bobber and the Bonneville T120.
The decision of launching the new Speedmaster in India will be in Triumph favor as the Bonneville series, and Triumph\'s current cruiser range are the best selling models from Triumph India.
Here in India, the Triumph Speedmaster is likely to fall in the vicinity of Rs 9-10 lakhs that will offer an entry level cruiser not only for the Indian audience but also for the global masses.
