Next Gen Toyota Innova to be Offered with LED Headlamps

Recently, a report has popped up on a website named Autonetmagz, suggesting that there will be LED headlights fitted on the fascia of the upcoming Toyota Innova. This next generation model will also have features like a chilled glovebox, drive mode selector along with a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. These modes- Eco and Sports are also going to be offered in the 2016 Hilux model. The former will save more fuel, while the latter will aid in providing more speed to the vehicle. Overall, the mechanical setup of this car will deliver 10% more fuel efficiency than the existing Innova.

A new ladder frame chassis will underpin this upcoming MUV and it will grow bigger in size thereby offering more spacious cabin as compared to the current one. Several comfort features will also be there for the occupants like entertainment facility with touchscreen interface, DVD player, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and an optional captain chair in the second row covered in leather upholstery.

Moving on to the mecahnical specs, Indonesian model will have both diesel and petrol variants. However, the Indian version will be powered by a 2.4 litre diesel engine that is capable of generating 148 Hp and 400 Nm of maximum output. It is expected to be offered with both manual and automatic transmission systems. It is anticipated that the new generation Innova will be rolled out by the next year in India at INR 15- 18 Lacs (ex-showroom).
