Next Gen Volkswagen Tiguan Displayed at 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

The ongoing Tokyo Motor Show has been witnessing a wide array of showcases from various automobile giants. Recently, Volkswagen has also displayed its next generation Tiguan model along with the Tiguan GTE concept. The company has previously presented this SUV in the Frankfurt Motor Show and it is likely to make its way to the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo as well. It is reported that this vehicle will arrive in the Indian market by next year and post that this vehicle will be competing with the well established names like Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and the all new Chevrolet Trailblazer.

It will make use of the MQB platform and will be bigger, yet lighter than the outgoing Tiguan. The entry level trim will make use of an FWD drivetrain, while the top ranging variant will be offered with an AWD setup.
