General Motors has removed all the covers from the next generation Chevrolet Cruze manifested its complete impressive features in Detroit. Design wise, this sedan model gets a unique look with enthralling cosmetic components on the outside, while its interior becomes more amazing than earlier alongside new safety and technological features. It's 2,700 mm in wheelbase and the height of this upcoming runabout has been lowered by 25 mm.
Its design philosophy has been inspired by several new models of Chevrolet, such as Camro and Volt showcased at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. Based on the D2 FWD platform of GM, the next generation Cruze receives Camro motivated narrow grille, new projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, rear bumper, angular taillights, sculpted bootlid and soft arching roofline.
Inside the cabin, the brand offers a dual cockpit design, dashboard including piano black finished centre console, leather covered multifunction steering wheel, an instrument console with color MID, MyLine infotainment system comprising 7 inch display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Safety features have also been improved with ABS, ESP, 10 airbags, rollover mitigation, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, side blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert.
Notably, the Indian spec trims are likely to be powered by a 1.6 litre variable geometry turbo diesel and a 1.4 litre Ecotec turbo petrol engines. The petrol model will churn out a maximum power of 153 bhp and a peak torque of 240 Nm.
