The Figo Aspire from Ford has been well received by the customers as it is packed with so many features at an affordable price. After basking in the success of this sedan, the automaker is now getting prepared to work upon its next generation SUV Endeavour. It is anticipated to arrive next year with a whole array of upgraded features so as to keep ahead of its competitors in the market. Considering the fact that Toyota is also gearing up for the new generation Fortuner, it is going to be an interesting encounter between these two utility vehicles. Although there are many other potential competitors rivaling each other, yet the battle between these SUVs is going to be a major one.
The upcoming Endeavour will highlight a three-slat grille flanked by Bi-Xenon projector headlamps. It stands on strong muscular wheels with flared arches and gets a slopping roof. The bumper guard at lower front end is infused with a pair of fig lights on either side. Other important features include a panoramic sunroof, LED DRLs, power adjustable third row seats and keyless ignition. For safety and comfort this model will sport front knee airbags, parking sensors, cruise control and the likes.
Coming to the mechanical aspect, the powertrain will comprise a 2.2 litre 148 Bhp diesel unit with 6-speed manual gearbox and a 3.2 litre197 Bhp unit mated to six-speed automatic transmission unit. Besides, the interior will also get hi-tech SYNC2 infotainment system with touchscreen, the steering wheel gets covered with fine leather.
Moving on to the new Toyota Fortuner, it will also be carrying a stylish look on the outside with a comfortable ambiance inside. It will be standing on 18-inch alloys and will be fitted with several modern elements, like electric tailgate, Smart Key, Tractor Sway Control, 8-way adjustable driving seat, etc. Further, it will also be introduced with a whole new range of powertrain options that utilise “Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion Technology”.
Both the models are going to be priced above INR 20 Lacs and will be brought in India in the year 2016.
