Renowned automobile brand Hyundai had recently revealed a sketch of the upcoming Elantra next generation model and this time, it has unveiled yet another picture of this car revealing its cabin area. Seems like Hyundai is very keen on keeping their audience informed about each and every update regarding the upcoming sedan. As per the image, this latest version of Elantra will borrow its styling from the newly introduced SUV Tucson. The 2016 model will feature a completely different dashboard and center console. Further, the dashboard will be shaped in a rectangular manner and will be straight rather than wavy, which is fitted in its current version.
There is an infotainment system at the center of the dashboard, bordered by a pair of AC vents on both sides. Certain portions of the interior highlight chrome accents and the steering mounted controls can also be found in the image. There is also a cup holder placed just beside the handbrake much like the one in the current model.
The exterior is also going to accommodate stylish elements and will be designed efficiently on the aerodynamic front. The source of power will be a 1.6 litre T-GDI petrol engine that will be good enough to make 174 Bhp of output. For transmission, motor will be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox along with a 7-speed DCT that will be available as an optional facility.
The launch date as well as the pricing details have not been announced yet, but the market reports indicate that it can arrive in the global market by next year. As far as India is concerned, the current version model is sold in the country, which means its arrival cannot be ruled out completely for the Indian market.
