Announcing the launch of the new 2017 Nissan Sunny, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, "Nissan India is constantly listening to the voice of our customers. The New Sunny 2017 is a testimony to this with its spacious interior, comfortable drive feels and fuel-efficient engines. The new features and colour options offer more to our customers at the same price and we are confident this package will attract new Nissan car buyers."
Talking about the car itself, no such substantial changes have been made there except a new color option along with the new chrome door handles. The cabin, however, has the option of an all-black look with premium black fabric seats and fresh black interior panels. Besides, the refreshed sedan comes offered with features like a push-button start, intelligent key, and enhanced safety equipment including electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking (ABS) and brake assist (BA) across all trim levels along with dual front and side airbags.
Nissan offers 2017 Sunny with same petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol-powered derivative comes with the 1.5-litre HR15 unit producing 98PS of power with manual transmission and 110 PS of power with CVT gearbox. The diesel motor, on the other hand, gets the 1.5-litre DCi mill generating 86 PS of power with 5-speed manual transmission only. Nissan India also put some offers on the table with free roadside assistance on the Sunny for two years. The standard warranty stands for 2 years or 50,000 km whichever is earlier.
