Norton Motorcycles is a British motorcycle manufacturer, which is being well-known all across the globe for its iconic designed motorcycles. It is among the oldest British-based two-wheeler manufacturer. Although, the firm has a wide range of its own created motorcycles carrying an iconic design and today the hot topic, which we'll be talking about, is the retro-styled Norton Domiracer. Recently, the firm has revealed its all new Dominator SS; a retro-theme based classic cafe-racer. The Dominator SS is pretty much exclusive for the manufacturer as they will be going to privately preview this motorcycle at an exclusive evening at the Donington Hall, which will be going to held in the end of January, 2015.
The Dominator SS is introduced to rival against the other V-twin engined motorcycles present in the two-wheeler market. And, it also confirms the arrival of the Norton Twin-cylinder motorcycles in the coming years. The newly introduced Norton Dominator SS is completely based on the earlier revealed Domiracer prototype. The Domiracer is featuring a cafe-racer track-only version and is equipped with loud MotoGP exhaust tail pipe. The showcased motorcycle was clearly seems to be a production ready model.
Projecting lights over the Norton Dominator SS, it is powered by a parallel twin-engine carrying and engine displacement of 961cc. The motor is capable to generate a total power of 80 BHP. The riding quality of the cafe-racer has been offered by high-quality suspensions, catered by Ohlins. The braking duties have been taken care by disc brakes at both front and rear. The disc brakes are being served by Brembo. The motorcycle will be moving towards its production in the coming year.
The Norton Dominator SS will get exclusively manufactured by the company. The number of units manufactured by the company is only 50 units. The cafe-racer will be making its availability carrying a hefty price tag of GBP 19,950 (approx Rs 19.55 Lacs).
