Range Rover Landmark Special Edition Revealed, Celebrating SUV's Sixth Anniversary

Tata Motors’ owned JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) has introduced a special edition called, Range Rover Evoque Landmark Edition to cheer the six years long successful journey of the smallest luxury off-roader SUV.

Based on the TD4 grade trim, the Evoque Landmark is available in three different body shades - Moraine Blue, Yulong White and Corris Grey. It features a standard dynamic body kit and grey paint scheme for exterior highlights such as a Carpathian Grey panoramic roof, 19-inch Gloss Dark Grey alloy wheels and Graphite Atlas front grille, bonnet, fender vent and tailgate lettering.

The 2017 Range Rover Evoque Landmark is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor that develops a maximum power of 180 bhp and a massive torque of 430 Nm. All the outputs are channelled to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Moving on the interiors, the dark grey theme continues to flow inside the cabin from the dash to the seats. The Ebony leather seats get contrast stitching and dashboard features a brushed satin center console. This special Evoque Landmark edition is equipped with JLR’s latest tech gadget including an optional 10-inch InControl Touch Pro smart infotainment system along with a Connect Pro package which enables access via mobile applications such as Spotify and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.

The smartphone or smartwatch enabled Remote Premium app allows the owners to check real time fuel level, lock status, car location and even pre-cooling or pre-heating cabin. Those who want advanced tech features can go for optional Touch Pro Services that add real-time traffic mapping, satellite and street views, along with a live app for news and weather information.

Its success was clear from the start and gave us the confidence to break new ground, which you can see with vehicles like the Evoque Convertible. This Landmark Special Edition is a celebration of six years of success so far,” said Gerry McGovern, Chief Design Officer at Land Rover.

Giving you a tour around this most popular model, the Range Rover Evoque was first made its global debut in 2011. A single model of this luxury small SUV takes 170 seconds to roll off from the production line in Halewood based facility and is exported to 130 markets across the globe. The carmaker says that it has produced more than 6,00,000 units of the Range Rover Evoque, with approx 18,000 models sold worldwide in March 2017 alone.
