The MPV segment is the very popular in the big size family culture of India and almost every company has one or more MPV in the market. The latest name added to this list are Honda Mobilio, which is anticipating the market very strongly. Now, the new company which has announced the new MPV car in the Indian market is the Renault Lodgy. The other MPVs which are making some rounds in the market are Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the upcoming Datsun Go+.
The new Renault Lodgy will be powered by the 1.5 Litre K9K which is currently powering the Renault Duster. The size of Lodgy concept is expected to be bigger than Honda Mobilio, but less than the Toyota Innova. The Renault will launch both, petrol and diesel variant of the car in the Indian market to boost up sales up to every extent. Also, to give it the edge over the other MPVs, the company may give some more features like 4x4 variant or the automatic transmission, but that all depends on the response of the public.
The Renault has also announced the new version of its famous SUV Duster as 4x4 and that will go on sale during the beginning of the festive season this year in India. This step may prove very beneficial to the company as its already famous SUV will get some more sales and will surely affect the performance of Mahindra Scorpio, XUV500 and Toyota Fortuner as well.
