From the last few months, Renault is continually promoting its upcoming Kwid with the help of various teasers, videos and TV commercials. This brand has even appointed the heartthrob of the nation Ranbir Kapoor as the Brand Ambassador so as to target the youth in India. As the hatchback is nearing its launch, the company has braced itself to give a warm welcome to the customers. On 14th September, the bookings had started officially and now it is all set to launch on 24th September i.e. tomorrow.

As you know that the specs and features have been already disclosed by the company at various incidents. But for those who are not acquainted with the details, we are here at your service. So, starting with the mechanical aspect, it will be equipped with a new 799 cc petrol engine tuned to chunk out 53 Bhp of maximum power at 5,678 rpm alongside 72 Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm. Transmission will be managed by a five-speed manual gearbox and the mileage returned will be rated at 25.17 km/l.

Based on the newly developed CMF-A platform, it has been constructed with 98% localization. It has got a capacious boot of 300 litres and an amazing ground clearance of 180 mm like a typical SUV. Both these factors provide it a competitive edge over the rival hatchbacks. Apart from this, the touchscreen infotainment system accompanied by a navigation facility and an advanced instrument cluster are some exciting equipments that are usually not found in an entry level model.
Falling in the price bracket of INR 3-4 Lacs, this model is going to be rolled out with four variants namely Std, RxE, RxL and RxT. The automaker seems to have declared a fight against Maruti Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon with their latest offering. Looking at such distinctive components, it seems like Renault Kwid is soon going to be India's new favourite hatchback.
