Just a few months ago, the UM Global Motors has shaken hands with the Indian Lohia Autos to get an entrance into the Indian two-wheeler market. The American motorcycle manufacturer, UM Global is planning to launch its first motorcycle on the Indian ground in the first half of the coming year 2015. Probably, the company will be enhancing its portfolio from the medium displacement cruiser motorcycles, which will be ranging from 300cc to 500cc. And, above all the top most name in the list of company's cruiser motorcycle be get entered in the Indian two-wheeler market would be the Renegade Commando.
Talking about the Renegade Commando, it is said to be the company's flagship motorcycle. It is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder motor, carrying an engine displacement of 223cc. The engine is capable to churn out a total power of 18 BHP @ 8000RPM and a peak torque of 15.5Nm @ 5500 revs. The 223cc displaced engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The Renegade Commando was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2014 and it will be directly competing with Royal Enfield's Bullets and Bajaj Avenger.
In a press release, the UM Motorcycles has shared that they are planning to open-up 50 outlets all across the country by the end of the coming year, 2015. Once, they will launch the flagship cruiser motorcycle, the firm has also scheduled some other motorcycles as well, following the very same. The products of the UM Motorcycles will get manufactured at the Lohia Auto manufacturing facility, located in Kashipur. Later on, the firm will be investing a huge amount to renovate the very same or to manufacture a whole new facility.
