Good news coming up for Tata Motors fans in India!!! The largest Indian automobile manufacturer has launched a refreshed Tata Hexa with slight cosmetic changes in interior and exterior design. Ther prices for all the Hexa brand variants have also been revised recently to avoid any overlapping with the prices of Tata Harrier. As per the update, the prices of low-spec variants XM, XE, XMA, and XM+ remains unchanged whereas a price hike of INR 20,000 can be seen for the top variants, which include XT, XTA, and XT 4X4.
Talking about the changes in interior design, an all-new Harman-sourced 7-inch touch infotainment system has been added to the low-spec variants. The similar infotainment system was seen in Tata Tiago XZ, which was launched last year. The new system also comes up with features like Android Auto and a 10-speaker JBL system.
When it comes top spec-variants like XT, XTA, and XTA 4X4, dual-tone roof option has been provided along with the infotainment system. In dual tone exterior design option, the roof can be finished in two either black or grey. As far as body paint is concerned, the black roof can be clubbed with either a white, silver or grey finish whereas the grey rooftop option can be clubbed with a blue or bronze body paint. In the interior part, chrome surround for the AC vents and black finish on the lower part of steering steel option is given for all the top spec variants.
When it comes to exterior design changes, a19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels have been added into the automatic version of the revamped Hexa whereas the mid and higher-spec manual variants like XM, XM+, and XT 4x4 have provided with 16-inch charcoal grey alloy wheels.
As far as mechanical changes are concerned, the powermill of 2.2-litre diesel engine that churns out a power of 156 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque is likely to continue in all variants. That\'s it, no other big changes in the engine section.
It is also expected that Tata will abolish the production of Hexa by the mid of next year due to lack of congruence with the upcoming BSVI emission standards. Till then, Hexa will continue to be the most expensive passenger vehicle among the Tata brand cars. The arrival of seven-seater Harrier version codenamed H7X at the end of this year might contradict the preceding statement.
