Rolls-Royce has launched the 8th-gen Phantom in the country and priced at Rs. 9.50 crore considering wheelbase edition. Meantime, the Rolls-Royce Phantom with the extended wheelbase is priced at Rs. 11.35 crore (ex-showroom). The first Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII will come to Chennai and in other cities as well in few weeks. The 8th-gen Phantom reaches after 16 years as the previous model was available over half a decade, and maintains the luxury and comfort for which the brand is known for.
The new Rolls-Royce Phantom is built on the new aluminum space frame platform called \'Architecture of Luxury\' and 30% more rigid than its previous model as well. The new Phantom is 29 mm wider, 8mm taller, 77 mm shorter and looks more alluring than the previous model as well.
The new car takes new LED tail lights, new LED projector headlamps, a larger 24-slat chrome grille, and LED DRLs. The design language gets a double-tone finish and iconic suicide doors.
Inside the cabin, it obtains a 6 mm two-layered glazing over window surface, a digital instrument console, a massive infotainment display, customized interface, a new glass-encased space, 130 kg of sound insulation and remains the \'most silent motor car in the world.\'

The new-gen Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine which is able to churn out a maximum power of 563 bhp and a peak torque of 900 Nm at 1700 rpm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed, satellite-aided transmission. In spite of its big size, the Phantom is not slumped and can run from 0-100 kmph from the ideal position in 5.4 seconds only.
Same like the every Rolls-Royce car, this also completely customizable as per customer\'s requirements. A customer of RR can select from available 44,000 exterior colors and even request for personalized styles from the Bespoke designers of the company. Further, the company is also making a regional warranty, four-year service package, and 24-hour roadside support as well.
