The much-anticipated Royal Enfield flagships, the Continental GT and Interceptor in 650cc displacement, has been caught testing in the Chennai traffic. Here in India, these bikes are anticipated to mark their presence at dealerships in upcoming months.
In front of the audience, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor was primarily showcased at the 2017 EICMA show. Earlier, their launch was scheduled to take place at the beginning of the ongoing 2018-19 financial year. Though, it has been delayed owing to some quality issue.
Beneath the fuel tank, both the motorcycles share a similar 648cc parallel-twin air-cooled engine. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The mill is rated to roll out the peak power of 47bhp along with 52Nm of torque through the mentioned mechanism. Furthermore, the advanced safety feature of dual channel ABS is also being provided with the motorcycles.

In terms of pricing, the bikes will attract price sticker in the vicinity of INR 3.5 lakhs and INR 4 lakhs. In addition to this, we can expect a host of aftermarket accessories to enhances its overall appeal.
