As per the reports, Royal Enfield has made its presence into the index of top 5 motorcycle manufacturers in the Indian motoring market. Royal Enfield has been succeeded to overtake Japanese manufacturer Yamaha, which registered 6 position in the most selling motorcycle brand.
The company has sold 4,98,791 bikes with the increase of 53 percent over the sales figure of 3,24,055 units last year. And with this improvisation in the sales, Royal Enfield now listed in one of the top manufacturers which includes leading one Hero MotoCorp once again, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India and TVS Motors.

Constantly increasing demand of approx 50 percent more vehicles of RE brand consuming in every of the last five years. It turns the outfit to set up a new plant near Oragadam, which will increase the production up to 900,000 by the year 2018.
And on the other side, Yamaha India indexed slip of approx 4.4 percent from 3,48,313 units in fiscal year 2014-15 to 3,32,958 units in fiscal year 2015-16. While scooter segment responded well for the Japanese automaker, it succeeded to register growth of 46 percent in comparison to the 2,16,960 scooters in FY 2014-15 which marks on scale 3,18,450 scooters in FY 2015-16, the positive in scooter sales led by the stylish Fascino. Now Yamaha has one of his eye on the recently launched 110cc commuter motorcycle, Yamaha Saluto RX and the upcoming scooter Ray-ZR which possibly can gave a push to increase the Yamaha sales in future.
Royal Enfield also hoping good sales from its newly launched 410cc purpose built adventure tourer, Himalayan. The bookings for the Himalayan has already begun and soon the deliveries of the bike will take place. Recently RE is focusing to expand its reach to the International markets and it exporting to the 50 countries which comprises US, UK , European countries and Middle East and South East Asia.
