In a row of updating bikes in Indian lineup, the Chennai based cruiser bikes maker, Royal Enfield has launched the 2018 version rear disc brake variant of its volume generator model, the Classic 350. However, the ABS feature is not standard with this best seller.
In the classic 350 cc range, the Redditch edition and the gunmetal grey option were the only models packed with a rear disc brake which has been extended to its entire range. The company has started rolling out ABS trims for its special edition and bigger displacement siblings. Launched in August 2018, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals Edition is the first in Indian lineup to get the dual channel ABS. The Classic 350 that is the lead generator with an average sales of 50,000 units monthly and is likely to be launched with this rider’s aid sometimes near February 2019.
The 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 350 rear disc shares components such as the rear disc and swingarm from Thunderbird 350. While the braking setup comprises a 280mm rotor at the front and 220mm disc at the rear
wheel.
Dimensionally, the Classic 350 that follows the design language of elder Classic 500, measures 2160mm in length, 790mm in width, and 1090mm in height. The motorcycle shares the wheelbase of 1370mm along with 135mm ground clearance.

Beneath the fuel tank, a single cylinder, 4 stroke, twin spark engine with displacement 346cc is continue to power the 2018 version with rear disc. The churned power stands at 19.8 bhp at 5,250 rpm along with 28 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm. whereas, the power transmission is authorized by a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Rides on 19” front and 18” rear wheels, the cruiser get suspended on telescopic front forks and twin gas charged rear shock absorbers. The wire spoke wheels comes shod up with 90/90-section front and 110/80-section rear, tube tyres. The 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 350 rear disc will compete with the opponents like the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the Mahindra Mojo in displacement range.
