Royal Enfield Electra to be Called as Bullet 350 ES; Not Discontinued

The famed cruiser brand, Royal Enfield has changed the name of its old model Electra and renamed it to Bullet 350 ES. RE, in order to reduce the ambiguity among the buyers, has renamed the bike and clarified that the variant has not been discontinued.

With color options like Black, Silver, Maroon and Blue, the renamed model will get a distinction than the previous unit by getting an electric start setup. In terms of power, a single-cylinder, four-stroke, twin spark, air-cooled, 346cc mill will supply the power of 19.8 BHP at 5,250 RPM and 28Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM. Rear wheel will get the power via a five-speed transmission unit.

Coming over to the suspension arrangement, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and 350ES have been armed with 35mm forks having 130mm travel up front. The rear suspension assembly for the former comprises twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload and 80mm travel, on the other hand, the Bullet 350 ES features twin gas-charged shock absorbers getting five-speed adjustable preload, however, the 80mm travel is same.

The bike has been altered in dimensions as well. While the earlier model was measured in 800mm and 1030mm in width and height respectively, the newer version has been widened to 810mm and mounted to 1120mm in height. As far as the weight is concerned, the Bullet 350ES is 7 kg heavier than the Bullet 350 and gains a total kerb weight of 187 kg.
