It appears like Royal Enfield is progressing from being a cult motorcycle with more like the one grabbing the attention of the masses. Reports stated that last month marked 41 percent boost up in its sales figures. As compared to the sales of 28,634 units in December 2014, the brand hit around 40,453 units in the passed December 2015.

Native sales of the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer got a drastic leap of 42 percent in December last year with a sales score of 40,037 units as opposed to 28,179 units achieved in December 2014. Exports went on a downfall of 9 percent as 455 units were exported in December 2014 as against 416 units in December 2015.There are 10 different motorcycles that the company presently offers in India. The Royal Enfield Electra is the sole premium cruiser that gets a 350cc engine, while the Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird are available with 350cc and 500cc engine options. The only ultimate cafe-racer Royal Enfield Continental GT is the one, which is offered with a 535cc motor in their product portfolio. It propels 29BHP of power and also features a new twin downtube cradle frame.
Royal Enfield is also making its way into the adventure Tourer segment with the Himalayan, shortly in India. The much awaited sports rider is going to be the second motorcycle by the company to come up with a new twin downtube cradle frame. The bike is anticipated to be launched at some point this year.
