Seven-Seater Nissan Terra Diesel Engine Unveiled

Nissan has revealed the new SUV, the Terra, in the Philippines targeting the South East Asian market. The Terra follows the previous frame-based generations, the Nissan Pathfinder. The Terra SUV was showcased first in China in March 2018 and Philippines is the second market.

The China-specific Terra has a 2.5-litre engine petrol engine generating a peak power of 183ps and a peak torque of 251Nm, whereas the Philippines-specific SUV is carried by a diesel engine. The diesel engine is carried from the Nissan Navara. It takes power from a 2.5-litre YD25 diesel engine generating an output of 190PS/450Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed automatic converter.

 

The Terra SUV is rich in features like its rivals. The equipment list comprises LED lighting, a 360-degree camera, and seven airbags. Nissan has committed that the Terra SUV will be launched in Indonesia and Thailand before April 2019.

Other markets to get this SUV will be Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Brunei. The Terra is also expected to reach Indian market as assembling of SUV is easy here if kits come from Thailand hub. The same route is followed by the Ford for the Endeavour.
