The Japanese Hercules, Honda Two-Wheelers has launched special edition variants for its litre-class motorcycle CBR1000RR Fireblade. Named as 'TT Special' and 'Black Edition', the newbies are unfortunately for the commercial two-wheeler markets of United Kingdom.
The launch witnessed the presence of the Honda Racing's BSB (British Superbike) riders Jason O'Halloran and Dan Linfoot. The iconic motor racing race track of Silverstone Circuit was the place where the unveiling of both special edition models took place. Besides, the new variants of CBR1000RR Fireblade were ridden by the duo around Silverstone for a parade lap as well.
As per the price perspective, the CBR1000RR 'TT Special' Edition will carry a price tag of approx INR 16.08 lakh while the 'SP Black' Edition will go for approx INR 11.5 lakh. To retain its uniqueness and special edition status, Honda would manufacture only a few number of models.

On technical terms, the TT Fireblade Edition sports an Akrapovic exhaust canal, identical to the MotoGP bike. Moreover, there are Gilles FX levers, Gilles TCA Chain adjuster, Gilles MotoGP lever guards, Honda Racing etching, and Galfer stainless steel laser-cut wave discs.
Apart from the above mentioned technical stuff, these special edition bikes are mechanically untouched i.e. the engine remains the same as we found on the standard variant. Powering the superbike is a 999.8cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line, four-cylinder motor that produces a wild power output of 178.4BHP at 12250 RPM and a maximum torque of 114NM at 10500 RPM.
