A latest report in automotive world believes that a lot of Yamaha R15 V3 has reached at a dealership in Hyderabad in India. The pictures with couple of R15s painted in Matt Red are making a buzz around the internet. The source of these surfaced images has not been confirmed by anyone yet and it might be just a speculation that these images have been captured in India.
Some reports were indicating at a Diwali launch while if this tittle-tattle comes out to be true, the Japanese bike maker could probably introduce the bike before Diwali without any hassle. The R15 version 3.0 is the most powerful R15 since its debut in India, having updated components like LED headlights, slipper clutch and fully digital instrument console.
Yamaha, a few days ago has launched the R15 V3 in Indonesia and the first batch of motorcycle was sold out just in 20 minutes when its bookings were started for the masses of Indonesia last month. R15 VVA 155, as they have entitled the bike on their page, has managed to get a huge fan following during these days. Yamaha R15 is one of the highly demanded brands among entry level 150cc premium sport bikes. 2017 Yamaha YZF-R15 is now packed with a bigger 155.1 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that is good for generating 19.04 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm.
The mill comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while slipper clutch has been integrated to endow a much better dynamic riding experience. R15 V3.0 also gets full LED headlights, higher seat position and a completely new design that’s inherited from the flagship motorcycle in the lineup. Yamaha R15 V3 also come with new all-digital instrument cluster and USD (Upside Down) front fork suspension in complete package.
Currently, the colour option which are being provided are Racing Blue, Matte Red and Matte Black. Price-wise, it will definately tagged with a higher price tag, however, the motorcycle will be the first choice of riders who are seeking for a lightweight performance motorcycle that can be used for a daily commute. As per an earlier report, R15 v3.0 is on sale in Indonesia at 34.5 million IDR on-road, equivalent to INR 1.70 lakh in Indian currency.
The regular R15 priced above INR 1.30 lakh on-road in India while the new edition will consequently launch with an increase in price. On global ground, It goes head to head with the likes of Honda CBR150R and Suzuki GSX-R150. Yamaha R15 V3 is likely to hit the Indian dealerships at an ex-showroom price of around INR 1.30-1.40 lakhs (ex-showroom) and it will go on sale in upcoming months.
