Globally unveiled last month, the next generation Audi A4 has again ripped its cover-up in new images showing more captivating aspect with stunning aesthetic components and more impressive interiors than the current model. Audi is presumed to manifest this runabout in the Indian showrooms during the first half of the next year as a CKD unit, where the kits will be assembled at the brand's Aurangabad plant. With regards to the existing variant, this updated vehicle will look more glamorous as we said above as well as will be 4.73 metre longer.
2.82 metres in wheelbase, the upcoming A4 will get a new singleframe grille, optional Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals and LED taillights. Inside, the manufacturer will offer Audi TT borrowed Group's Virtual Cockpit function. Apart from it, the car will unify a Bang & Olufsen Sound System conferring 3D sound, an MMI touch interface comprising an 8.3 inch display, an Audi Phone box with wireless charging, instrument cluster including 12.3 inch LCD, a Head Up display and a smartphone interface.
Based on the new MLB platform, the next generation Audi A4 has been claimed to have 0.23 of reduced drag co-efficient, making this sedan 21% more fuel efficient than the ongoing version. Its 120 kg of decreased weight, clearly hinting at the more promising performance that will be enough to impress anyone at the first drive.
It will be available in three engine options as the current one, such as a 1.8litre TFSI petrol, 2.0 litre TDI diesel and 3.0 litre TDI diesel units, producing the output of 167.62 bhp, 174.33 bhp and 241.4 bhp, respectively.
The mills will be mated to a 6-speed manual, 7-speed S-Tronic and an 8-speed Tiptronic transmissions, coming with an optional AWD system for the top-end A4 Avant version, whereas the FWD system will be found only on the 7-speed S-Tronic variants.
