Suzuki Gixxer 250 India Launch on May 20, Price Revealed

Suzuki Motorcycle India is all geared to roll out its most anticipated motorcycle the Gixxer 250 on coming May 20. As reported from the dealer sources, the new Gixxer SF 250 is expected to carry the price tag around INR 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Also, they have commenced unofficial booking of the new Gixxer SF 250 at a token amount of INR 10,000. If Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 debuts at the mentioned pricing, it will undercut its rivals the Honda CBR250R and the Yamaha Fazer 25 by around INR 15k and INR 37k respectively.

Besides this, the technical specifications and other details of the Gixxer SF 250 has already been leaked a few days earlier. Likewise, its design language which will continue to be same as of the Gixxer SF 250 but with enhanced aggressiveness and sportiness in dynamics. The features it possess will include a full fairing, clip-on handlebars, and a chiselled fuel tank suggested to offer 12-litre fuel storage. The double barrel exhaust will also be shared with the outgoing Gixxer SF albeit with chrome finish.

The technical specifications of the motorcycle reveal it as a two-wheeler loaded with a 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel injected motor behind the fairing. The equipped mill is an all-new unit with air/oil cooling system and it is rated to make out 26.5PS of power and 22.6Nm of torque, almost similar figures to the CBR250R (26.5PS/22.9Nm). The power transmission duty is managed via a coupled 6-speed gearbox. Other than this, the motor is believed to comply with the upcoming BS-VI emission norms.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 mounts on telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. While the braking duties will be under the supervision of disc brakes at both wheel along with the integration of dual-channel ABS unit. It will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped up with tubeless 110/70 section front tyre and 150/60 rear tyre. On the weighing scale, this sports tourer tips at 161 kgs kerb which proves it around 6 kgs lighter over the Honda CBR250R.
