2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155cc facelift is slated to launch soon in the country. Before its launch, naked streetfighter spotted at a dealership in colour schemes and features update. The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer will be offered in three new colour schemes including two monotone colour options (all black and silver) and a dual tone colour option (Black with Blue).
In terms of feature updates, the 2019 Gixxer gets a new headlamp setup with LED light, muscular fuel tank with extensions, split seats, two-pieces grab rails and new LED tail lamps. Other than this, the new Gixxer is being said to be featured with a new instrument cluster with white backlight instead of orange backlight seen on the previous model. The motorcycle will sit on 17-inch alloy wheels shod up with 100/80R-17 front and 140/60R-17 rear tyres.
The 2019 Gixxer will be powered by the same engine powering the newly launched Suzuki Gixxer SF last month. The 154.9cc, air-cooled, single cylinder, SOHC, FI engine is rated to develop 14.1PS of power at 8,000 rpm and transmit 14Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm to the rear wheel via a mated 5-speed transmission. Besides this, the said unit will also comply with the upcoming BS-VI emission norms.

The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises of a telescopic fork up front and monoshock at the rear. While the braking on the new Gixxer will be handled via a set of disc brakes at both wheels. The mandatory feature of ABS will also be fitted as a single channel unit to keep bike’s pricing in check.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the 2019 Gixxer will carry a price tag of INR 1 lakh, ex-sh (approx). It will be around INR 10k or 15k premium over the outgoing bike. In its segment, the new Gixxer will lock its horns with the fighters like Yamaha FZ V3.0, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Bajaj Pulsar 160NS as well.
In terms of sale, the past month of June 2019 has remained beneficial for the Japanese bike maker. Since the company registered a growth of 29 per cent during the last month. Overall, the company sold a total of 67,491 units as compared to 52,217 units were dispatched in the corresponding month last year. While the automaker registered an increase of 22 per cent in domestic sales with the 57,023 units sold last month. sold as against to 46,717 units sold in June 2018. Also, the company introduced new Gixxer SF series in current Indian lineup including models like Suzuki Gixxer SF 250cc and the Gixxer SF 155.
