Suzuki Hayabusa to Get Cheaper by INR 2 Lakh

Maintaining its popularity from past 16 years, the beast Suzuki Hayabusa, also known as GSX1300R is first came out of the picture in 1999. The fiercest and the wildest superbike is keeping its pace even now and managed to dominate to superbike segment for a very long time period.

Presently, the bike is on sale in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The news has come up that Suzuki Hayabusa is going to be assembled at the manufacturing plant of Suzuki Motorcycles situated in Manesar very soon. As a consequence, this would be the first superbike, which will be assembled in India by far and being sold as CKD.

The price of Suzuki Hayabusa is going to be reduced by INR 2 lakh because of the lower taxes on CKD units. The current price of the tourer is INR 16 lakh, which after the reduction, will be of INR 14 lakh. This significant price drop will benefit a lot of the buyers as the rivalry ZX-14R is carrying a price tag Rs. 18 lakh.

The second generation Hayabusa gets power from a 1340cc four-stroke, inline 4 cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which generates a maximum power of 197 British horsepower at 10,100 RPM and an utmost torque of 138.7NM at 7600 RPM. It claims a top speed of 200kmph and whizzes from 0-100kmph in 2.74 seconds. The dry weight of the motorcycle is about 222kg.
