Suzuki India has announced that the next generation Gixxer will be introduced to the country’s lineup by next year. Other than this, we can also see the arrival of a 250cc motorcycle next year which could be entitled as the Suzuki Gixxer 250. The recent surfaced piece of information brought this 250cc Gixxer into light which is also scheduled for 2019.
The ongoing Gixxer is the most loved two-wheeler in the brand’s India lineup which helps in generating the major part of revenue. In order to continue this success journey of this fun-to-ride motorcycle, the brand is going to grant a major overhaul to this supersport offering. Well, the motorcycle is also going to complete five years in the market next year that suggest a much-needed update.
For all the test being conducted in the segment, the Gixxer managed to retain on top spot since long. But the lately introduced new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V superseded the motorcycle from its leading position.
In terms of modifications on new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer, we can see some sorts of cosmetic tweaks which will offer a much focused sportier stance as compared to the ongoing model.
The updated Gixxer will be embellished with an LED headlamp, all-digital instrument console the Suzuki Easy Start System and an expected split-seats option. Other than this, the riding position that is considered best in the segment, is also being said to be tweaked for improvement. Further, the company will work on the bike’s stiff ride quality that is considered as the as the major aspect for refinement. The chassis and brake setup will continue to be the same units. However, the propelling heart will be the same but can be tuned for more power generation.
In terms of pricing, the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer is expected to be priced premium over the ongoing model that is available on sale at the price sticker of INR 87,250 (ex-showroom, Delhi, ABS variant).
