Suzuki Intruder SP Launched with Added Features; Priced at INR 1 lakh

With an aim to boost up sales in the festive season, Suzuki has introduced Intruder SP, top spec variant. The company is offering this special edition for both the carb and fuel-injected variant at a respective retail price of INR 100,500 and INR 107,300 (ex-showroom, India).

The standard Suzuki Intruder is priced at INR 99,995 for carb and INR 106,896 for fi variant, which showcases a marginal hike of INR 505 and INR 404 for respective variants.

The company is asking that increased price over the standard Intruder pricing for additions like a new colour scheme and pillion backrest. It’s a new Matte Black colour scheme with the red ascent through fuel to rear body panel. As compared to colour options of stock Intruder, Metallic Grey and Metallic Black, the matte black appears more appealing and easily grab onlookers eyeballs. To offer comfort and safety at the same time, the automaker inserted a small pillion backrest. Other than this, the advanced safety of ABS is being offered as the standard fitment.

Under the fuel tank, the Intruder SP continues to carry 154.9cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder powertrain of the stock Intruder. The motor is rated to generate 14.8 ps@8000rpm along with 14 Nm@6000rpm through a mated five-speed gearbox.

In the Indian market, the Intruder 150 debuted in November last year. Sooner, this offbeat motorcycle managed to generate volume for the company with average sales of 4000 units monthly. But from last two months, the average sale has gone down, less than 1000 units.
