SWM Motorcycles to Sell its Motorcycles through Motoroyale Outlets in India

As we noted you in our earlier post that the Italy-based bike maker, SWM Motorcycles is all prepared to enter the Indian two-wheeler industry by October month this year. As an introduction, the company would launch its flagship motorcycle in the 600cc adventure tourer segment, the SWM SuperDual. Basically, we have already informed about the retail of the upcoming SWM Motorcycles that the Motoroyale, a division of Kinetic Motorcycles will take care of it. But now, the company has also officially confirmed. The same dealership outlet is also responsible for selling bikes of an another premium motorcycle manufacturer from Italy.

Nowadays, the Indian motoring industry is observing a keen interest from various domestic and international manufacturers in the adventure touring segment. Also, the impending auto major, SWM Motorcycles, which already have a good name for its Enduro, Motocross and off-road segment bikes across the globe, is almost confirmed to launch an adventure tourer, the SuperDual 650 during suggested time by this year end.



Mechanically, powered by a 600cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC liquid-cooled engine, the SuparDual uses the churn out of 57 bhp and 54Nm through the paired a 6-speed gearbox transmission. While a fully-adjustable 45mm Fast Ace inverted front fork which offers a travel distance of 210mm and an adjustable Sachs rear mono shock which offers suspension travel of 270mm cumulatively fulfills suspension duties on the motorcycle.

Moreover, due to the mentioned adjustable suspension setup, the bike have a ground clearance in the range of 180mm to 230mm. At 898mm, the seat height of the SuperDual is a bit too high or can say not a perfect fit for the average height Indian riders. Having a fuel tank capacity of 18-liters, the bike has 186kg weight in the dry state. The offered list of features with the SuperDual is not less, other than this, the Indian audience will also receive the equipment of a windscreen, knuckle guards, radiator and engine crash protection, and optional side panniers.



In India, the Superdual is expected to hit the shores all the way through CKD route and will be delivered to the customers via the Motoroyale network. The prices for the motorcycle has not been revealed yet, but it is expected that it will carry the price tag near about Rs 5 lakh, ex-showroom and will enter Indian market sometime in June or July for homologation process.
