Tata's famous Lac rupees car Nano is all set to enter the diesel car market this year. The launch of this new Tata Nano Diesel variant will make it the best fuel-efficient car available on the Indian roads. Along, with the change in the engine department, the Tata Nano will also get some makeover on the exterior and interior features as well. After the launch of this car in the Indian market, I guess the headaches for other hatchback models like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift will increase for sure.
As for now, there isn't any information out on the engine and specification set of this car, but according to the market experts, the Tata Nano Diesel will also get a tune up from its standard petrol version which comes with 624 cc 2 cylinder petrol engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. Now, the engine will be a diesel one and transmission is supposed to be automatic, the car sure needs an upgraded engine. The Tata Nano diesel will surely boost up the fuel economy as will strengthen grip on its already strong small car segment in the Indian market.
On the exterior part, the Tata Nano Diesel will be a little different from the current petrol variants as this model will have the larger air dam up with fog lights which makes the Nano grinning at you. The car will also have a lot of interior change with the features like cup holders, charging point, glove box and power windows as well.
