As we all know that the Tata Safari Storme facelift has been spotted testing many times on the Indian ways and as per the market reports, this upcoming SUV will be launched in April 2015. On the outside, it would have minor modifications with Land Rover inspired new grille, latest airdam and at its front, there will be 'Varicor 400' badges for highlighting the updated powertrain. If reports are to be believed, then this vehicle will comprise a forward facing third row bench, optional second row Captain chairs and a Harmon Kardon sound system alongside steering mounted controls inside the cabin.
Coming to the engine, the Safari Storme facelift will be powered by the same 2.2 litre four cylinder diesel engine, but it would produce an awesome power of 160 PS as well as a much higher torque of 400 Nm. These power outputs are improved by 20 PS and 80 Nm as compared to its current version. This oil burner fuel mill will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, which would transfer the produced power to its all four wheels in 4WD variant, while will drive only two wheels in 2WD version. Moreover, an automatic gearbox variant might also get available soon.
Tata Motors is expected to obtain more profits as compared to the existing one via introducing upgraded cosmetic and mechanical features. The SUV is about to be acquainted between the price of INR 10 Lacs to INR 14 Lacs as the biggest rival of Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster.
