Tata Tiago is marking a good position in the compact car segment. The car was launched on April 6 and it had received immense response from the Indian consumers. The hatchback has garnered over 15,000 bookings by the end of April which is quite appreciable.
In the first month of launch, Tiago emerged as the best selling car in the segment. It sold around 3,500 units. The figure is likely to go increasing by the coming months. The dealerships have also reported that they are receiving good amount of enquiries and bookings for the Tiago car.
Tiago is available at an attractive price of INR 3.20 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is placed between the Bolt and Zest models. But, as of now the Tiago is going popular in the segmnet like no other.
Apart from the attractive price tag, the automaker is also committed to full-fledged marketing of the car. The company even hired the Football icon Lionel Messi as the brand ambassador for the “Made of Great” campaign. The car has been successful in attracting female buyers as well.
The Tata Tiago has been offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque, while the 1.05-litre diesel engine propels 70 PS of power along with 140 Nm of torque.
