This year, Tata is coming up with its most anticipated hatchback named Tiago, which has been scheduled to hit the showrooms on March 28, 2016. The Tiago lies under the compact passenger car segment and finds spot between Bolt and Nano. It has been heavily engineered in order to deliver great efficiency and power.
The Tata Tiago will be replacing the automakers veteran car Indica eV2 and stand against the likes of prominent models like Hyundai i10 and Maruti Celerio. Tiago offers both petrol and diesel engine options including all-new three cylinder powermill.The petrol trim comes powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder DOHC aluminium motor which develops 83.8bhp of peak power and 11.6kgm of torque. The diesel trim comes with a 1.05-litre three-cylinder DOHC unit, capable of generating 69bhp of peak power and 14.2kgm of torque.
Tata Tiago was recently showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo along with the compact sedan sibling named Kite 5. Both the models were displayed at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor show as well. The Kite 5 shares some features with the Tiago hatchback. Tiago's interior is cozy and appealing. It features Harman music system equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. The hatchback will be priced in between INR 4.5 Lakh to Rs. 5.5 Lakh.
