Tata Zest is basically a stretched version of the Tata Bolt, which was launched with the alongside the Zest. On the exterior front, the front looks of the Zest up to the C-Pillar is almost like the Tata Bolt, but the boot at the back gives it different looking and better than its competitors like Xcent, Vento and Dzire too. The interiors are also inspired by the Bolt that includes the white upholstery, touchscreen music system, gauges behind the steering wheel and others. As an overview, Tata Zest is an average car which is best for the huge population of middle class families in India.
Tata Zest will be available in both petrol and diesel variant. The petrol variant of the Zest will have a 1200 cc 1.2 Litre Revotron engine with the capabilities of producing the 84 PS of power @ 5000 rpm and 140 NM of torque @ 1750 rpm. While the diesel variant will get the power from a 1`300 cc 1.3 Litre Quadrajet engine which will produce the 89 PS of maximum power @ 4000 rpm and 200 NM of torque @ 1750 rpm. Both the variants will get 5-speed manual transmission gearbox with the possibilities of automatic transmission insightful in future.
