The iconic Jawa Motorcycles which is the potent rival of the Royal Enfield bikes has been resurrected and introduced two of its models in India. Here in this post, we are going to compare the exhaust note for which both the brand are highly acknowledged across India. Check out the exhaust note comparison of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and Jawa Forty Two created by YouTube channel DCV. As claimed in this video, the creator did not make any editing to the sound and camera. Also, the distance of capturing video for both models has been kept similar.
The Thunderbird 350X exhaust note has a little thump for which the Royal Enfield bikes are known where during hard reviving its turns into an odd sound. On the other hand, the Jawa Forty Two exhaust sounds completely different. It has a roaring exhaust note albeit it sounds like a large displacement bike in a full swing of throttle due to the presence of twin outlet in the exhaust setup.

Beneath the fuel tank, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X packs a 346cc, air-cooled engine with a carburettor system. The engine develops 19.8bhp and 28Nm via a coupled 5-speed gearbox. The Jawa Forty Two, on the other hand, uses a 293cc, liquid-cooled engine with the fuel injection system. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the engine which is BS6 compliant churns out the maximum power of 27bhp and peak torque of 28Nm.
Other than this, both the Thunderbird 350X and the Forty Two comes armed with a dual-channel ABS and single-channel ABS as standard while dual-channel ABS unit as an option for the respective models.
